This page explains the cookies and browser storage used by synapsyx.com and complements our Privacy Policy .
1 Summary
This site does not use analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies. We do not run advertising, social-tracking pixels, or third-party measurement scripts. The site has no forms, log-in, newsletter, or user-upload features.
The site’s own code sets no cookies and writes only one browser-storage entry, after you request a light or dark theme:

We do not use browser storage to count visits, identify visitors or follow them across websites. Hosting security processing by Cloudflare is separate from the site’s own storage.
2 Hosting and security cookies
This website is served by Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Cloudflare documents cookies used by particular security and routing features in its cookie documentation . Whether a cookie is set depends on the enabled feature and the request; that general catalogue is not a list of cookies installed by this website.
We do not use Cloudflare cookies for advertising or visitor measurement. If a hosting-security feature sets a cookie, its purpose and lifespan depend on that feature and the cookie’s expiry. We do not promise that every visitor will receive a cookie or that none can be set by the hosting infrastructure.
Traffic and security-data processing is described in our Privacy Policy ; it occurs even without cookies. The GDPR basis for necessary website delivery and security is legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Browser storage has the separate consent and necessity rules in § 165 (3) TKG 2021 ; a legitimate interest alone does not exempt optional cookies from those rules.
3 Browser storage used by synapsyx.com
The site itself uses the browser’s localStorage for one purpose only:

This entry is created only after you actively click the theme toggle in the navigation. It contains the literal value light or dark and nothing else. It is never transmitted to a server — it stays in your browser.
Without a stored preference, the site follows your browser or operating system’s light / dark setting. The storage supports the display preference you explicitly request under § 165 (3) TKG 2021; it is not used for tracking. No optional tracking technology is enabled, so the site shows no tracking-consent banner.
4 Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party media, social widgets, maps, comment systems or chat tools, and we do not load fonts or scripts from external asset providers. Our fonts and other assets are served from this website. Cloudflare remains the hosting provider, as described above.
Following an external link opens another provider’s site, whose own cookies and privacy notice then apply. Opening an e-mail link uses your e-mail application; sending a message is your choice.
5 Managing cookies and storage
You can clear or block cookies and localStorage through your browser settings at any time. Clearing the theme entry resets your saved display preference; reading the pages does not require it. Blocking hosting-security cookies could affect a security check if one is presented.
